Remus leaned in, kissing Sirius lightly. "It won't take me long to send Dumbledore a letter. And I'm sure he'll be here as soon as he can be."
Hopefully, Dumbledore would be willing to hear Sirius out first. The headmaster always had before, but things had never been quite so desperate before, either. "I'd say to get some rest, but I doubt either of us will for some time."
